Beyond Fashion Month.
Support Around the World
BoF has reached its goal of raising $50,000 for The American Civil Liberties Union and UN Refugee Agency — but our work is not done.
LONDON, United Kingdom.
As fashion week rolled from New York to London and Milan to Paris — and then to cities around the world from Mumbai and Istanbul to Sydney and Toronto over the last two months, it's been amazing to see #TiedTogether gather momentum along the way, as the global fashion industry demonstrated its support of solidarity, human unity and inclusiveness amidst growing uncertainty and a dangerous narrative peddling division.
Thousands of BoF community members around the globe participated in the movement, and we are pleased to announce that we achieved our goal of raising more than $50,000 for the American Civil Liberties Union and UN Refugee Agency, with the support of our donors and benefactors - including Carmen Busquets, Miroslava Duma, Gabriela Hearst and José Neves, as well as many more generous people and organisations around the world.
The symbol of the initiative is the white bandana, which was incorporated into runway shows or worn personally by designers and creative directors, including Tommy Hilfiger, Raf Simons for Calvin Klein, Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior, Donatella Versace and Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino. Beyond the runway, celebrities and influencers such as Gigi and Bella Hadid, Zayn Malik, Julianne Moore, Naomie Harris and Aimee Song joined the movement.
